Saturday from 1-5 PM and Sun 1-4 PM.

Description of possible Activities:

- sharing succulent plant starts for people to take home

- info on succulents as water holders and drought resistors (good for covering soil; good for July planting!)

- demonstration of an apartment-sized composting worm bin (we'll collect names / e-mails of people who want more info and e-mail them)

- demos of how to use coconut fibre and worm castings (compost) as an organic and inexpensive growing media

People will take the succulents either in a recycled pot they fill with coconut fibre and worm castings or in a neat package they make from paper and tied with raffia. People can choose how to take their plant home. For those taking packages, we'll let them know that the succulent needs to be planted within a week or so.
